Homemade cookies always bring smiles during the holidays. Learn how to make an easy basic dough that can be used to create a delicious assortment of holiday goodies. Lois White, a food editor for Grey Dog Media, Hy-Vee Seasons and Better Homes and Gardens magazine, will demonstrate everything from preparing the dough, to rolling it out for cutouts, and hand-shaping it for jam thumbprints, snickerdoodles and kid-approved red-nose reindeer cookies. She'll also cover a few basics on frosting and decorating cutout cookies. Recipes will be provided. Please RSVP for this free event at Johnston Public Library on December 12th at 2:00pm.
