Pre-game Valentine's Day with us at Johnston Public Library on Saturday, February 13th with the Cheap Date Movie Series. Bring a date, a friend or fly solo to watch a must-see movie paired with an interesting activity for a fun, and free, afternoon out. In February, stop by the library at 2:00pm for a showing of Chocolat with Johnny Depp and Juliette Binoche. Mid-movie we'll have a cooking class intermission with Lois White, food editor for Better Homes and Gardens and Hy-Vee Seasons Magazine. Lois will show everyone how to make hot cocoa brownie cake in a mug. We'll even bake it at the program and you can eat your delectable dessert while you finish watching the movie!
